GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Files should be in MS Word format only.
The text should be in single-column format. Its layout should be as simple as possible.
Figures and tables should be embedded and not supplied separately.
Please make sure that, you use Palatino Linotype font in your text. Special fonts may cause problems during processing. To avoid unnecessary errors you are strongly advised to use the 'spellchecker' and "grammar-check" functions of MS Word.

ARTICLE  STRUCTURE

There is no imposed article structure. However each paper should respect the general writing rules so as to have a title, an abstract and key words in accordance with the content of the full text. Further on the content, focusing on either theoretical or practical aspects, is to follow a logical trend beginning with an introductory part of the topic and continuing with research methods/theoretical background, results and conclusions.


FORMATTING GUIDELINES

The abstract should not exceed 200 words
The author is to provide up to 7 key words
Submissions must be no longer than 20 pages including tables, figures, maps and references.
Tables should not exceed one page.
For images (figures, photos, maps) - good resolution "jpg" in a compatible dimension to A4 format is requires.
Figures, maps, tables should be numbered and cited consecutively in the text.

Aditional information
Abbreviations can be used within the text according to internationally accepted conventions.
Notations should conform to international usage.
Footnotes should not be used.
A short list of endnotes might be accepted. Endnotes should not exceed one page and must be numbered consecutively within the text and listed after references.

Our journal was continuously preoccupied to improve the dialogue with its contributors concerning the originality and authenticity of their papers. In this respect the authors whose papers have been accepted from scientific point of view to be published in Analele Universitatii Bucuresti: Geografie (Annals of the University of Bucharest – Geography Series) would have to sign a Statement of Originality and Authorship so as to assume their responsibility towards their published materials and to be informed as well about their professional and moral obligations.

According to copyright policy, the paper is not to copy substantial parts of previously published material. If so permission must be obtained by the author before submitting the paper and acknowledgments must be stated accordingly.
Mentioning source and copyright is compulsory also for reproduced photographs, data and media.
